In each game in the series, the player has to help the titular protagonist Henry Stickmin succeed in an assignment. The series consists of six games Breaking the Bank, Escaping the Prison, Stealing the Diamond, Infiltrating the Airship, Fleeing the Complex, and Completing the Mission. The series has two versions available the legacy series and The Henry Stickmin Collection, the latter featuring remastered versions of the original games and a new game, Completing the Mission, which is the final game in the series. The games included in the series are Breaking the Bank, Escaping the Prison, Stealing the Diamond, Infiltrating the Airship, Fleeing the Complex, and Completing the Mission. The player can choose the events and endings, due to the games functioning via point-and-click format. Other notable characters include government pilot Charles Calvin, red-haired criminal outlaw Ellie Rose, the Toppat Clan leader Reginald Copperbottom and his Right Hand Man, and The Wall warden Dmitri Johannes Petrov. First starting off as a thief, Henry can later become an agent of the Government, the leader of the Toppat Clan criminal syndicate, or remain neutral as a thief. Features like the Map, which functions as a fast travel that will allow you to go to previously visited locations and retry options made at those locations, and the Quick Time Event timers from later episodes which give players a visual representation of how much time they have to complete a QTE. Like the visuals, the gameplay itself has been greatly improved in every episode when compared to their original releases. The new artwork is bright and colorful, and is greatly complemented by the much smoother animation created by a more seasoned developer (PuffballsUnited was only 17 when he made the first episode!). Perhaps the most notable difference in this case would be the upgraded aspect ratio of 16:9, suitable for the modern widescreen TVs and monitors we use today, vs the 4:3 aspect ratio of the original.
